The Treasurer /Omutetenkanya w’Eby’enfuna


i. He/she should endeavour to be a shining example to other Catholics in initiating and sustaining Church projects and should continue reminding them of their obligations to finance Church activities. 

ii. He/she shall encourage and often remind the faithful of their obligation to pay the tithe (Church dues). 

iii. He/she is responsible for planning and initiating developmental strategies to develop, maintain and sustain pastoral activities (2Cor. 9: 6 ff). 

iv. He/she should be trustworthy, straightforward and knowledgeable about financial matters and bookkeeping. He/she shall make quarterly financial reports and annual reports to be sent to the next level of the Church structure after it has been presented to and approved by the Pastoral Council. 

v. He/she is obliged, together with the established financial committee, to prepare and present a budget for the next financial year and also to make a financial report for the year ending. 

vi. In collaboration with the Catechist he/she shall endeavour to encourage the collection of Church tithe and dues and to ensure that the collection is deposited to the relevant coffers.

vii. He/she is responsible for safe and proper keeping of collected funds and their proper utilization. 

viii. He/she is a member on the Financial Committee at that level.
