Novena in honor of St. Jude Thaddeus

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the

Holy Spirit. Amen

Offering of the Novena

O Lord, Jesus Christ, who when on earth, offered up prayers and supplications to your Father. "With a strong cry and tears" (Hebrews 5:7) receive the offering of this Novena, during which we desire to join our prayers with yours (pray silently and mention your petition). We make this offering through Mary, your mother, St. Jude Thaddeus, your cousin, for he is our helper is difficult cases; for their sakes, accept and grant our prayer. Amen

1.   O Glorious apostle St. Jude Thaddeus, Patron Saint of hopeless cases who, when called by Jesus Christ, left everything and followed him, obtain for us the grace to detach ourselves from all worldly attachments to serve God, and to love our neighbour as we love ourselves.

2.   O faithful apostle St. Jude,, beloved cousin of our saviour, we admire the courage with which you spread the Gospel with great labours and sacrifices.

Assist us so that we will practice daily by word and deed our faith. Amen.

3. O zealous apostle, St. Jude who crowned your earthly life by martyrdom to give a true testimony of your faith, pray for us that we imitate you in your great endurance, strengthen our weakness in time of temptation and help us to persevere in our faith so that with you one day we may come to glorify God Forever. Amen.
