In-Charge of Liturgy/Ow’Ebyentendereza


i. In close collaboration and cooperation with the Catechist, he/she shall exhort the Catholics to: 

  • Frequent the reception of Sacraments and the adherence to praying together as a family. 
  • Participation in the celebration of Holy Eucharist on Sundays.
  • Payment of the Church dues (tithe). 
  • Utilization of religious items such as holy water, medals, Rosary, pictures of Saints, etc in their daily life. 

ii. He/she shall put special emphasis on exhorting parents to prepare their children in anticipation to receive the sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Okweyatulira. 

iii In close collaboration and cooperation with the Catechist he/she shall prepare the sick before sending for the Priest; he/she is also responsible for preparing places for burial and last rites liturgical services, organizing readers for liturgical readings. 

iv. He/she is also responsible for assisting in preparing the children for their First Communion, Confirmation and Okweyatulira when the ceremony is conducted at the Basic Small Christian Communities.
