The Good Samaritan / Omusamalia Omulungi

This portfolio shall be established at all levels of the Pastoral Council. 

  1. He/she shall endeavour to instil into all Catholics the spirit of charity to all needy persons particularly those in the same locality.
  2. He/she shall be responsible for identifying the' needy, widows, and elderly, the sick right from the Basic Small Christian Community to Parish level. 
  3. He/she shall endeavour to solicit all kinds of assistance (money, food) from all categories of Catholics: men, women, youth, and children for distribution to the identified needy. 
  4. He/she shall establish a Needy Fund at every level. 
  5. He/she shall establish programmes through which the needy, particularly victims of AIDS, can get counseling and where possible donors.
